The first scents that waft up as you bring the glass to your nose are the pine resin-like aroma from the juniper berries, along with the aromas reminiscent of “shincha” first harvest tea: matcha, sakura (cherry blossom) leaves, the seashore, sansho, and yuzu, along with the slight saltiness from the konbu kelp. Make the world-famous gin and tonic cocktail and add cherry blossoms to feel Japanese spring.

GIN HEART 夏 [Natsu]

The concept of summer can be felt through gin’s characteristic juniper berry aroma, along with the refreshing scent of shiso, cucumber, and green plums, the elegant and deep flavor of organic green tea along with the sweetness of Satsuma-imo sweet potatoes, and the slight saltiness of konbu kelp. Let one piece of ice melt slowly in the glass and mix with the gin to release the aroma and sharp taste of summer, and enjoy the texture. Make gin on the rocks and add shiso leaves in order to enjoy summer all year round.

GIN HEART 秋 [Aki]

A lightly colored appearance that brings to mind forest mushrooms, with a mild and calm aroma. The sweet flavor of steamed Satsuma-imo sweet potatoes, chestnuts, and vanilla, followed by the subtle aroma of kabosu citrus and refreshing juniper berry.
Try it as “hot gin” to feel the changing of the seasons: First pour warm water (about body temperature) into a cup, and the add the gin to release the refreshing scent of juniper. Add one dried shiitake mushroom to increase the flavor and umami of autumn, and enjoy the most of the season.

GIN HEART [Huyu]

GIN HEART 冬 [Fuyu]

In subtropical Kagoshima, winter is the season of citrus fruits.
This gin is made with local Sakurajima komikan (the world’s smallest mandarin orange!), tankan orange, kumquat, yuzu, etc. and full of tropical citrus aromas. Use seasonal fruit peels and mix with soda water, or make the classic Orange Blossom cocktail by mixing gin and fresh orange juice (or other seasonal oranges) in a shaker. The refreshing flavor of this gin becomes gently wrapped up in the orange aroma.
